Artist Spotlight: Photographer Pie Aerts.



Dutch photographer Pie Aerts is driven by the relationship between people, place and the natural world, his work explores themes of identity, culture and human connection through a thoughtful, research-led approach. His imagery challenges stereotypes while offering nuanced perspectives that prioritise hope, empathy and coexistence.

Creating from the notion that photography has the power to inspire meaningful change, he is the founder of Prints for Wildlife, a global fundraising initiative that has brought together more than 375 photographers and raised over $2.5 million for conservation organisations, including African Parks Network and Conservation International.

Through both his personal practice and collaborative projects, he continues to advocate for deeper exploration to create work that reconnects people to one another and to the world around them.
