Base-Cast is an Independent Publication and Production Studio.

The platform curates and documents stories across fashion, design and culture in Sydney, Athens, Tokyo and beyond. Base-Cast highlights independent artists and innovative designers through editorials, interviews, features, events, and cultural thought pieces. With a team of creatives and contributors, Base-Cast studio specialises in art direction, content strategy, and producing compelling campaigns, content, and brand storytelling.

The name BASE-CAST was conceived around two simple ideas: where things begin and how they travel. BASE represents a point of origin. A home, a foundation, a place from which ideas, people and creative communities emerge. CAST is about a signal outward. To cast an eye, cast a light, cast a net. It also speaks to the convergence of a cast of people: photographers, artists, designers, musicians, writers and independent voices. 

Together, BASE-CAST distils the movement at the heart of the project: finding something at its source and casting it into a wider world. A base for culture. A cast of voices. A platform built to look outward.
