Christophe Lemaire

Christophe Lemaire

Helmed by Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran, the LEMAIRE brand offers a timeless Parisian style that is cosmopolitan, sophisticated and rich in influences. Crafted from fabrics selected for their quality and designed for everyday wear, the wardrobe is eminently modular—the supple silhouettes and soft color palette allow LEMAIRE outfits to be restyled and accented over time. Pieces from different collections and seasons can be paired effortlessly while maintaining the space floating around the body as it moves. Some elements are borrowed from traditional Asian clothing: deep pockets, sleek design, and the allegory of the perfectly proportioned home as a protective shelter for a peaceful, self-assured life. Workwear and military garb lend practicality and sturdy finishing to the pieces in the wardrobe. The color palette features a broad array of neutral, earthy and muted shades that highlight the pure lines of the silhouette and compliment the face and body.

CFCL

CFCL

The CFCL brand name stands for Clothing For Contemporary Life. Instead of fashion that expresses the tastes and mindset of an individual designer, CFCL’s clothing is designed to serve as tools for people to use in their lives.

Our clothing for contemporary life comprises three elements: sophistication, consciousness, and comfort and easy care. From daily life to going out to eat at a restaurant, the CFCL style is highly compatible with different scenarios while still being easy to maintain at home and, moreover, responsibly made.

The brand’s core computer programming-aided knitwear is a technology that designer Yusuke Takahashi encountered as a student, and has used for almost all CFCL’s products ever since the brand was launched. Knitwear is generally regarded as casual clothing and rarely worn on special occasions. But today, people want clothing that is more comfortable and easy to move around in. Stretchy and able to fit a wide range of body shapes. Uncomplicated and cozy. CFCL believes knitwear is the right choice for contemporary life.

Since programming-aided knitwear dispenses with the need to cut the material, it results in almost no waste. Moreover, selecting recycled and certified materials makes it possible to produce clothing with a reduced impact on the environment. CFCL was founded in 2020 in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic. In those volatile times, CFCL chose to enter the fashion industry––one of the most polluting industries in the world—because clothing is not only indispensable but also still incredibly influential. In the belief that fashion has the power to change how people feel, think, and act, we create clothing for our contemporary lives.

Cecilie Bahnsen

Cecilie Bahnsen

Cecilie Bahnsen operates at the intersection of couture and ready-to-wear to create luxury clothing with a relaxed, timeless style.

Celebrating the traditions of fine French fashion and the design culture of Scandinavia, the collections combine craftsmanship and details with architectural volumes and sculptural silhouettes to offer a contemporary take on femininity.

Unique fabrics are hand-designed each season by founder and LVMH Prize finalist Cecilie Bahnsen, a Copenhagen native who returned to her home town to found her eponymous label in 2015 after studying at the Royal College of Art in London and working with couture houses in Paris.

Her aim is to craft effortless clothes that last and that can transform the wearer, with unexpected combinations of softness and structure, minimal and maximal, perfect and imperfect. Each collection builds on the previous one to develop a world of pieces that can be cherished for years, passed between friends, and reinterpreted and restyled to express the individuality of the wearer.
