Our purpose has always been clear: to revive Chinese and Asian culture and handicrafts, merge them with contemporary design, and share exceptional products with the world. Rooted in a Southern California upbringing, founders Joshua Willis, Jacob Willis, and Ant De Padovane grew up exposed to a wide range of cultural influences that ultimately became the DNA of SECOND/LAYER- namely Mexican American street culture in the '90s, skateboarding, surfing, and the calm cool demeanor of Suavecito (suave-smooth.) SECOND/LAYER is more about a vibe, somewhere between Oldies and New Wave Romantic.

Sebago
Sebago
Australian designer Seb Brown approaches jewellery as both material and canvas, shaping diverse inspirations from the ancient and the present, the eternal and the temporal, into unisex everyday pieces.
Brown grew up in Apollo Bay, Victoria, where the remote coastline instilled a sense of freedom and an interest in the natural world. Though entirely self-taught as a jeweller, his studies in communication design at RMIT Melbourne balance the spontaneous placements and unexpected proportions between stone and metal with an instinctive understanding of colour, scale, and layout.
Since establishing his studio in 2009, Brown has developed a process-led approach focused on carving directly into wax and crafting each piece by hand. Through intuitive experimentation, he introduced stone setting into his practice—refining what would become his signature scattered-stone signet rings, now made alongside a broader collection of rings, earrings and necklaces, both bespoke and ready-to-wear.
Now based in Paris, where his second studio is located, Brown’s headquarters remain in Naarm/Melbourne. The clinical, pared-back space was designed by architect Sean Godsell in 2022 to minimise distraction and place full attention on the jewellery. All production is carried out in-house by a team of jewellers trained by Brown in his process-led, hand-carved approach—ensuring the continuation of his craft through shared practice. The studio uses recycled gold and silver, conflict-free diamonds, and carefully sourced gemstones, and operates with a near-zero waste policy.
