Jil Sander Presents the “Hood” Shoe, a Study in Minimal Form for SS26

Jil Sander advances its minimalist language with the introduction of the “Hood” shoe for Spring Summer 2026. Developed under the direction of Simone Bellotti, the design revisits the classic moccasin, refining it through reduction and precise proportion to create a silhouette rooted in clarity and everyday utility.

Rendered in smooth, premium leather, the “Hood” maintains a traditional moc-toe construction while presenting a notably clean, uninterrupted form. The focus remains on shape and material, allowing the design to communicate through restraint rather than embellishment, in line with the house’s understated approach.

A defining update comes through the sole. The typical crepe base is replaced with a slimmer rubber foundation, reducing visual weight and sharpening the overall profile. This shift brings a more contemporary balance to the silhouette, offering a streamlined moccasin interpretation that feels both functional and distinct.

The “Hood” shoe is now available online and in stores, priced at $1,150 USD.
