Mercedes-Benz and Moncler unveil new car

Mercedes-Benz has partnered with luxury fashion brand Moncler to create a collaborative project called Project Mondo G. The work was unveiled at Moncler's "The Art of Genius" show during London Fashion Week and took over a year to create.

The project features high-gloss reflective surfaces and massive zipper detail, weighing two-and-a-half tons. According to Gorden Wagener, chief design officer at Mercedes-Benz Group AG, the work showcases "the strong geometry of the G-Class merged with the organic forms of Moncler puffer jackets."

Britta Seeger, a board member at Mercedes-Benz Group AG, stated that the collaboration "opens new horizons and the potential for opportunities, with more news to come soon." Mercedes-Benz is exploring opportunities to collaborate with exciting design partners and engage in collaborations that generate "creative friction." In addition, Mercedes-Benz has been pursuing new ways of engaging with the fashion and luxury world as it decreases its international runway show sponsorships.
