HUF-founder Keith Hufnagel grew up skateboarding in the gritty streets of 1980s New York City. He was part of an early street skating generation that came up amongst a melting pot of city countercultures—hip hop, punk, graffiti, streetwear, and other underground movements.
In 1992 Hufnagel moved to San Francisco and became a professional skateboarder, offering him the opportunity to travel the world by means of his skateboard. Wanting to give back to the communities that raised him, Hufnagel opened the first HUF boutique in 2002 on an offbeat block in San Francisco’s Tenderloin district, bringing together the most respected skate, streetwear, and sneaker brands under one roof.
HUF quickly came to be recognized as the Bay Area’s institution for hard-to-come-by goods, attracting a new era of skaters, artists, and like-minded creatives. As it grew, Hufnagel launched his own collection, assimilating into one label what he felt epitomized the spirit of skateboarding and street culture.

The brand aesthetic is minimalistic, unconventionally sophisticated and sensual. Designed in Stockholm, the collections are produced by carefully selected manufacturers and made from long-lasting high-quality materials.
The brand was founded in 2005 by three sisters who decided to pick up the legacy after their late grandmother; Dagmar. Dagmar was a tailor and model of confidence with an extraordinary sense of craftsmanship and style. Not only does her name carry the brand, her sense of quality and ambition to create high quality and timeless fashion is still very much alive.

Life takes unexpected turns. When our paths veered off course, we chose to have faith in our dreams and follow our passion. DaNelle and I are cousins and opened Hope with the dream to open a boutique that carried unique clothes to help you feel comfortable and confident. We made it our job to find the best brands and take so much pride sharing our favorites with all of you. We have always believed in lifting women up and helping you feel good about yourself.
Hope started out of a small dream and has turned into something so much bigger.
In 2019, DaNelle passed away from Cancer. Hope lives on to help all of us get thru tough times together.
A portion of every sale is donated to The Brittany Cayemberg Foundation & The Beaux Mettler Foundation in honor of Hope's co-founder, DaNelle Hocking. In addition, $1 of every sale goes to Hope's Beautiful Warrior program giving women battling Cancer a shopping spree in our shop!
DaNelle may not physically be on this Earth anymore but she is with me (Crystal) in every order I fill - I hope you can feel her love always.
