Kris Van Assche is a Belgian fashion designer renowned for his minimalist, urban aesthetic and his ability to blend tradition with innovation. Born on May 12, 1976, in Londerzeel, Belgium, Van Assche studied fashion at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. His career began in 1998 when he became the first assistant to Hedi Slimane at Yves Saint Laurent's Rive Gauche Homme line. This collaboration continued at Dior Homme, where Van Assche played a pivotal role in launching and developing the collection until 2004.
