Silk Laundry
Silk Laundry
Born in Canada to a Ukrainian mother and Polish father, Katie was raised by a simple ethos: never be wasteful or superfluous. This would become one of the guiding principles of Silk Laundry, which she founded in 2015. After migrating to Australia in her youth to study psychology, Katie launched Silk Laundry out of the need for simple, well-made clothing that utilised natural fibers and would pair with pieces she already owned. Obsessed with slip dresses from her teen years in the 90s, Katie launched the brand with the now iconic 90s Slip Dress.
Choosing silk for its durability and natural lifecycle, Katie wanted to create a brand that combined conscious living with luxury staples. Each garment is made with artisanal craftsmanship, innovative design, and fabrics that take into consideration the impact of materials on our planet. Harnessing her intuition, ethics, and values, Katie ushered Silk Laundry into its current iteration. One where the brand is a vehicle for storytelling, where each collection weaves together stories and inspirations from her travels, philanthropy, and advocacy work.
From creative repurposing of materials in Silk Laundry to encouraging others to adopt more sustainable measures in their everyday lives - Katie is always looking for new practices to evolve individually and as a brand. Using fashion as a tool to delve into conversations that matter, Silk Laundry is committed to conservation projects and environmentalism. By creating a brand that uses its voice for the betterment of the planet, Katie is dedicated to the wider community and conscious consumerism. Through this, Silk Laundry is constantly adapting to the needs of our world.

Sia Arnika
Sia Arnika
SIA ARNIKA, the namesake label founded in Berlin by the Danish designer redefines the boundaries of self-expression through the fusion of art, culture, and sustainability. Inspired by Nordic mysticism, old folk tales combined with an investigation into contemporary culture, our designs challenge norms and embrace opposing forces to create a unique and thought-provoking alternative reality.
“Growing up on a small isolated island in Denmark I had intense feelings of longing and wanting to escape. My obsession with the unknown turned into an investigation of all around me, constantly dissecting literally everything, trying to understand why if felt this way. This kind of practice followed me and informed the way I work; how I choose fabrics, develop shapes and experiment with volumes.”
Reflecting the essence of minimalism and maximalism coexisting harmoniously, SIA ARNIKA's creations are a testament to the coexistence of anonymity and bold self-expression. We offer individuals the freedom to celebrate their uniqueness while contributing to a sustainable future.
Driven by innovation, our products tell a story that bridges the gap between tradition and the contemporary. We prioritize sustainability by collaborating with European-based manufacturers and partnering with suppliers to incorporate recycled and sustainable materials into our collections.
This seamless integration of diverse aesthetics encapsulates the brand’s core pursuit of merging minimalism and maximalism to create a new ‘experimental normality’. With one foot planted in the past and eyes fixed on the future, SIA ARNIKA aims to break from monotony and convention to move towards a fluid representation of our interconnected and ever-evolving world.
