Yvonne Leon

Yvonne Leon

Youngest daughter from a jewellers family, Yvonne Leon has always been surrounded by dazzling objects.

Hyper-creative, she graduates in fashion and starts her career as a style editor and fashion stylist. Attracted to curiosities since she was born, she understands very quickly that her salvation is in stones and precious things. Yvonne does only crave vintage ; through jewel boxes she found in her grandma’s attic, or the flea markets she wander around, she interprets the classics and makes them up-to-date. Her creations, at the crossroads of frenzic accumulations and mixing styles, pay tribute to the past and witness her little touch of craziness.

Her years in fashion gives her a strong taste for freedom. In jewellery design, she disrupts. Atypical ways of wearing stones, as rings for the ears or under-lobes armours, pairs not matching, always over-stated.

She has instinct ; and unconditional love for women of all age, enjoying more than anything else the trans-generation gap she transfigurates through top-notch pieces, halfway haute-joaillerie, halfway easy-to-pick candies to grab immoderately.

From her Parisian workshop to the Saint-Germain store,

Yvonne Léon offers a fresh and alternative vision of jewellery. She respects the traditions but therefore gives herself the liberty of breaking the rules, and quickly becomes the designer that women pick when they treat themselves, for selfcare, bliss or fun. The rare, the unexpected, the precious. True mantras.

His aesthetic combines tailored jackets and trench coats, dark palettes, angular cuts, repositioned pockets and fastenings, and twist/seam work that disrupts conventional forms.

Y's

Y's

Centered on functional and dignified everyday wear, Y's lies in a category of its own, fusing orthodox design principles with idiosyncratic pattern making. Particular attention is paid to cut and silhouette, texture, and the amount of empty space between the body and the garment. Y's is a brand that more subtly hints at Yohji Yamamoto's core identity with practical and high-quality prêt-à-porter pieces.

Youths In Balaclava

Youths In Balaclava

Youths In Balaclava (YIB) is a Singapore-based independent streetwear collective founded around 2016, whose members emerged from diverse backgrounds (finance, military service, music) and operate with a non-hierarchical, DIY ethos.
Their aesthetic leans into underground culture, anti-fashion sentiment, seasonless design and subversive references—from military uniforms (echoing Singapore's conscription) to punk music, covert subcultures and political commentary.
YIB gained early acclaim when Dover Street Market began stocking them in 2017, affirming their reach beyond Singapore’s niche scene.
In sum: a collective-driven brand that channels the underground, rejects trend-chasing, and brings Singapore’s off-beat voice into global street-fashion conversation.

YOUTH

YOUTH

youth, samuel ullman

Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; It is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, a quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life. Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite, for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of sixty more than a boy of twenty. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust. Whether sixty or sixteen, there is in every human being’s heart the lure of wonder, the unfailing child-like appetite of what’s next, and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station; so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the Infinite, so long are you young. When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at twenty, but as long as your aerials are up, to catch the waves of optimism, there is hope you may die young at eighty.

YMC

YMC

YMC was founded in 1995 by Jimmy Collins and Fraser Moss.

Taking its name from a quote by the famous industrial designer Raymond Loewy; “You must create your own design style” - You Must Create is both a mission statement and a call to action. Inspired by the influence of traditional workwear and military uniforms and merging them with a hallmark creative flair, Collins and Moss initially set out to create a brand around understated, functional garments, designed to stand the test of time.

A quarter of a century on, YMC continues to pour its encyclopaedic knowledge of subcultures, music and the arts including counter-culture and post-punk DIY attitude - into creating wearable yet directional collections that seamlessly capture the current zeitgeist, across menswear, womenswear and unisex designs.

After the passing of co-founder Fraser Moss, YMC appointed the brand's second-ever creative director Sage Toda-Nation in 2024. His direction looks to YMC's early days, channelling the spirit of the first collections, delving into the brand's rich history to rediscover designs and details that will be renewed and revisited in his collections going forward.
