Artist Spotlight: Yeeun Jang’s Sculptural Floral Art.
Seoul-based floral artist Yeeun Jang approaches flowers as a sculptural medium rather than a traditionally decorative one, creating striking compositions that blur the boundaries between floristry, art, fashion and spatial design. Originally trained in visual media design, she was drawn to a more tactile creative practice, teaching herself floristry after discovering the expressive potential of large-scale floral installations.
Influenced by architecture, contemporary art and the quiet structures found in nature, Jang's work strips floristry back to form, texture and movement. Using a limited selection of materials, she transforms familiar botanicals into bold, sculptural installations that challenge traditional perceptions of floral design. Her practice is one of continual experimentation, embracing curiosity, challenge and craftsmanship to create work that feels both unexpected and deeply considered.
